Friday, 13 November 2020_Argentina has been held to a 1-all draw against Paraguay in the World Cup qualifying at home after Lionel Messi's goal in the 2nd half was ruled out.
The visitors took a surprise lead after Angel Romero converted from the spot in the 21st minute.
Les Albiceleste piled up the pressure after falling behind and managed to level the match by Nicolas Gonzalez's header before the break.
The hosts dominated the match in the 2nd half and even scored the winner through their talisman Messi before the hour mark but the goal was ruled out following a VAR check.
With the result, Argentina now sits at the top of the CONMEBOL standings with seven points, just a single point clear of its archrival Brazil, who will meet Venezuela on Saturday.
