Friday, 06 November 2020_With the name of martyr "Qassem Soleimani" decorating the Persian Language Department in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, the first graduates of the department walked down it, reviving the memory of Hajj "Qassem" who they carried his name as a title for their batch.
Graduates expressed their overwhelming joy of this accomplishment, stressing that their choice name for the Soleimani batch comes at a critical time in light of American unilateralism reaching it peak.
The ceremony came after Hassan Irloo presented his credentials to the president of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, as ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Yemen. This shows the depth of Yemeni-Iranian relations, especially with the US escalating its hostile policies towards the two countries and towards the resistance axis as a whole.
Irloo's predecessor left Sana’a in September 2015, and in October last year Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the process of sending a new ambassador was hindered by “attacks on the embassy.”
While some Persian Gulf Arab states’ leaders rush to normalize relations with the Zionist entity, Yemenis continue to reaffirm their support for the Palestinian cause.
