Tehran, YJC. Official says social security is expanding insurance coverage to include addicts.
Ali Rabiee who was speaking at a meeting in Yazd on Wednesday evening said "The treatment of the addict has been laid upon the Ministry of Cooperative, Labor, and Social Security. We will cure them with insurance and by only receiving small amount of money.”
Iran’s Minister of Cooperative, Labor, and Social Security further stated "So far 6 million people have signed up for the plan for 5 million of whom insurance papers have been issued.”
He further stated "The electronic health insurance card will also be issued by the Ministry of Cooperative, Labor, and Social Security.”
Rabiee also added that 7 million are being supported in terms of food. "The food package has been provisioned for the needy of whom around 90 percent have so far received their packages.”
