Saturday, 26 September 2020_Democratic nominee Joe Biden has censured US President Donald Trump for "irresponsible, outrageous attacks on voting" and called his refusal to commit for the peaceful transfer of power a "typical Trump distraction."

Biden says Trump will leave White House if he loses reelection bidIn an interview with MSNBC on Friday, Biden predicted that Trump will step down if he loses his reelection bid to him in November.

The former vice president described Trump’s efforts to raise concerns about voter fraud, particularly through mail balloting, as a “typical Trump distraction.”

“I just think the people in the country are going to be heard on Nov. 3,” Biden said. “Every vote in this country is going to be heard and they will not be stopped. I'm confident that all of the irresponsible, outrageous attacks on voting, we’ll have an election in this country as we always have had, and he'll leave.”

Biden’s remarks came after Trump twice refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power and relinquish his office should he lose in the November presidential election.

On Wednesday, Trump said he will not commit to a peaceful transition of power in the case he is defeated by Biden. Trump said would “see what happens" with mail-in ballots.

The president also continued his criticism over states where ballots are mailed automatically to registered voters.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that mail-in ballots lead to mass voter fraud.

“We’re going to have to see what happens, you know, but I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots. The ballots are a disaster,” Trump said on Thursday.
