Several people have reportedly been killed after a mass shooting in a city in the north of New York state.
Authorities say the incident in Rochester has resulted in fatalities.
A tweet from the Rochester Police Department said: "Major Crimes is on the scene of a mass shooting on Pennsylvania Ave. @ there are fatalities."
The force said there would be a news conference shortly.
Local NBC affiliate News10NBC says Pennsylvania Avenue, Goodman Street, and Short Street are closed to traffic.
Times Now News said at least a dozen people have reportedly sustained gunshot wounds.
