Wedesnday, 19 August 2020 (YJC)_ Bahram Qasemi declared the fate of the US campaign against multilateralism and International Law is nothing but failure.
In response to US regime’s failure and isolation with the UN Security Council, Iranian Ambassador to France Bahram Qasemi, condemned US campaigns and declared this may be followed by further surprises.
Elsewhere in his speech he mentioned “as a turning point in the contemporary era, US, as a permanent member of UNSC and the advocate of the world leadership, faced a historic scandal”
In his convention the role of Iranian diplomacy is undeniable and should be regarded precisely and reasonably and “the vote against the US draft is the hint for how world is concerned about the continuation of the hegemony of power and the rupture that International Law is facing”
He moreover named this failure as the beginning of the downturn for the US unilateralism and urged the international community to focus on multilateralism with patience.
Noting on the benefit of multilateralism, Iranian Ambassador to France added “it is the only remedy to the current obstacles the international community is suffering”
The UN Security Council rejected US draft resolution to extend Iran arms embargo scheduled to be lifted on October 18 under the terms of a 2015 Iran nuclear deal (known as JCPOA) endorsed and made into law by UNSCR 2231.
