Tuesday, 18 August 2020_Vincent Kompany has been appointed full-time Anderlecht manager for the next 4-years, ending his playing career for his new role.
The ex-Manchester City captain re-joined the Belgian club as player-manager last summer, but relinquished his managerial duties in August in order to concentrate on playing. The 34-year-old, spent 11 years with the Sky Blues, 8 of them as Club Captain, before returning to his boyhood club Anderlecht in 2019.
As a player, he Won the Belgian first division twice, before picking up 4 Premier League titles, 2 FA Cups, and 4 League Cups in England. He was also capped 89 times for Belgium, and was part of the squad that finished 3rd at the 2018 World Cup.
