“I don’t understand Israeli politics. It is very complicated. But this is a three-way commitment. We are sure that as we will keep our commitment, and the US is involved, [and] Israel will keep its commitment. I think we have bought a lot of time… I don’t think it is a short suspension,” UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anwar Gargash, said during an interview with the Walla news site on Friday, which marked the first-ever interview by a high-ranking Emirati official with an Israeli media outlet.
The UAE's minister added that the suspension would provide a window of opportunity for the Israeli regime and the Palestinians to return to the table in order to negotiate toward a so-called two-state solution.
