Tuesday, 28 July 2020_Iranian discus thrower Ehsan Hadadi has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The 2012 Olympic silver medalist, was confirmed to have contracted the virus on Friday. He was one of Iran’s medal hopes for the Tokyo Olympic Games which was postponed until 2021.
Hadadi had said on Wednesday that he had symptoms of the virus. The 35-year old has been in self-isolation since then and receives his treatment at home. He is said to have shown satisfactory progress in recovering from the infection.
