Monday, 20 July 2020_A state morgue in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek is overwhelmed with corpses as the city becomes a new coronavirus epicentre. The former Soviet Central Asian country went into lockdown in March and this was lifted two months later.
Stretched medical staff have said that hospitals are over capacity, while growing queues and backlogs at state morgues are other ominous indicators of the virus' grip on the impoverished republic of over six million people.
