The satellites, Xingyun-2 01 and 02, were launched by a Kuaizhou-1A (KZ-1A) carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.
They have successfully entered their planned orbit.
Coded as "Xingyun Project," the program, conducted by the China Aerospace Xingyun Technology, is designed to build China's first low-orbit narrow-band satellite communications system and set up a global communications network for the Internet of Things.
After entering the planned orbit, the satellites will test multiple industry application scenarios such as smart container supervision, marine environment monitoring, and meteorological data collection, which will lay a foundation for the subsequent networking and formal operation of the entire satellite Internet of Things.
