Tehran 04 May_New York City was a contrast of cautious joy and solemn reverence on Sunday (May 3) as residents flocked to parks in one part of the city while law enforcement and emergency vehicles in a another part held a procession honoring a paramedic who came to New York to help battle coronavirus, and later died of it.
In New York City the warmest weather yet this spring caused picnickers and sunbathers to flock to green spaces in Manhattan. Police and other law enforcement officials helped patrol parks to encourage social distancing.
In another part of the city, it was a scene of mourning for Paul Carey, a paramedic from Colorado, who had come to New York to help treat coronavirus patients, NBC reported. He was 66 years old. He leaves behind two sons and four grandchildren.
