Tehran 03 May _England international Kieran Trippier has been charged with the alleged offence of breaching the Football Association’s gambling rules back in July 2019.
The alleged violation of rules occurred last year, following Trippier’s 20 million pound move from Tottenham Hotspur to Atletico Madrid.
The FA released a statement saying that the England defender has been charged with misconduct for breaching betting rules and has until the 18th of May to respond.
The 29-year-old right back denied all allegations and said that he has “fully” complied with the FA’s investigations so far and will continue to do so.
Trippier plays in Spain now which means that the FA needs to appeal to FIFA before they can impose any ban on the player.
