Tehran, YJC. Iran’s gold production is going to reach 6 tons as the country starts 41 mining projects.
Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Mines & Mining Industries
Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) said "Based on the economic
policies of the Hope and Insight administration, the Ministry of Industry,
Mine, and Trade has prioritized a leap in the discovery of mines in its agenda
with the aid of IMIDRO.”
Jamshid Molla Rahman who was speaking in interview with Mehr
News Agency stated "Besides discovery operations as 50 projects in 31 mining
areas and 11 mines, The organization has made plans for discovery operations in
14 expanses reaching 200 thousand m2 in area. This is the first time in the country
when discovery grows from the a few tens m2 to some hundred thousands m2 in
area.”
He added that there is a focus on new strategic substances
such as antimony, chromite, and titanium.
Molla Rahman further stated "41 projects with a budget of €6
billion creating 25 thousand job positions have been set off in cooperation with
the private section.”
"The plans made on mine development will also rise our gold
extract rate to 6 tons. Bullion and concentrates will reach 100 thousand tons,
and titanium pigments 50 thousand tons,” IMIDRO Deputy Chairman added.
