Zabol Central Regiment Commander has said that 10 pen guns are detected prior to entrance into country for intended disruptive operations.
Colonel Mahmoud Amiri in interview with Mehr News Agency
provided comments on the discovery of terrorist weaponry, including pen guns,
by the Central Regiment of Zabol, saying "The officers at the regiment in the past
15 days detected and entered armed fight with a number of terrorists who
intended to break into the country. In the wake of the fight the terrorists
left the country and some weapons and ammunition behind.”
He added "During the clearing operation one AK47 rifle, a
number pistols, and 10 pen guns used for terrorist attack were discovered and
detained.”
According to the Commander of the Zabol Central Regiment
after preliminary investigations it was concluded that the terrorists intended
to use the pen guns in disruptive attempts in the Conference on Mirhosseini and 2,000 other Martyrs from Sistan.
