Filmmaker Sirous Moghaddam who was speaking to Tasnim news agency about his new project Field of Death said "We are choosing our actors. The makeup tests have been done. There were also talks to some Arab actors. The project has not yet begun its production stage, though.”
He added "Field of Death includes the Iran-Iraq and Iraq-Kuwait wars, Saddam’s sons-in-law’s flight to Jordan and their execution, as well as other prominent stories of the life of Saddam, along which other stories of the contemporary Iraq will also be included.”
The filmmaker added "If the experts reach an agreement and word comes out that the series should be made we will shoot the film in the second half of the [Iranian] year and the pre-productions will begin in August.”
"This is a national project that needs cooperation from all governmental and non-governmental organizations, which need to come to the conclusion that this series has to be produced,” Moghaddam asserted.
"Field of Death is an ultra-national project. Since it has to be shot in Iraq, Syria, and Jordan the production will be huge,” he further stated.
