Tehran, YJC. Supreme Leader says Iran’s science needs a jihadist management to cope with enemies’ schemes.
The Supreme Leader of Iran speaking to a number of the
country’s academic staff and Science Ministry officials said "To stop the
country’s scientific progress is one of the main concerns of the enemies of the
Islamic system. Coping with the enemy’s inimical challenge needs some jihadist
movement and management in the scientific field as well as the right, wise counteract
by university officials and faculty.”
"It is a regret that at some point the universities were giving
undesired examples of inciting the young elite to leaving the country; or years
when some people within the Ministry of Science would put a spoke in the
country’s scientific wheel. Such things must not ever happen again,’ ayatollah
Khamenei said.
He added "Universities have to be kept away from those who
see the country’s scientific movement as nothing. It rather has to be in the hands
of those who love Iran’s scientific progress and who realize its importance in
the lives of the country and the nation.”
Stating that in the short and mid-term outlook, scientific
progress can be effective in eliminating the impacts of economic sanctions, he
said "Through sanctions, the enemy intends to pressure Iran’s national dignity,
to humiliate the nation. For the scientific uprising to continue will lay this
tool, too, useless.”
