Tehran 18 January_A rime scenery appeared in the Burqin Basin of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region due to the temperature drop recently, indulging tourists in a white wonderland.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club(YJC)-Every year from November to the next March, the Burqin River in the Burqin Basin freezes to form the magnificent rime scenery.
Local residents in the Burqin Basin usually take tourists on sleighs into the forest covered with rime to show them the beauty of nature.
"We have just traversed the forest covered with rime. It is the first time for us to experience sleighs hauled by horses. There is rime everywhere, just like a wonderland. It is the first time for us to see so much snow. We are very much excited and the scenery is particularly beautiful," said Yang.
Located in the northern part of Xinjiang, the Burqin Basin is famous for its rime sceneries in the winter season.
