Tehran, YJC. Sharif says Daesh is being agitated by the US to attack Iran.

IRGC Spokesman Brigadier General Ramazan Sharif said "Americans try to get the terrorist Daesh to launch attacks on Iran’s borders. But for certain reasons this terrorist group is not yet capable of doing such a thing.”

"The IRGC and the armed forces have a defined mission within which they will enact their duties,” he asserted.

Asked what the IRGC will do if an attack were to take place by Daesh he said "There are different tasks which have been set for the IRGC under different situations. It will pursue its lawful duties with great determination.”

Providing comments on international media coverage of Iranian officials’ rejection of cooperation with the US on the ISIS he said "Head of the Armed Forces General Staff has rejected the initiative to conduct military cooperation with the US.”

"Daesh is an American-Zionist plan tied to Baath members. Meanwhile, though, the religious reference, people, ethnicities, and the independent Iraqi government will be able to cope with the terrorists as they have proven to be,” he asserted.
