TEHRAN, Nov 18_On Monday, the 12th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development on the topic of “Debt Management” was held in Geneva, Switzerland with attendance of country representatives and economic specialists.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club(YJC)_On Monday, the 12th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development on the topic of “Debt Management” was held in Geneva, Switzerland. A board of Iranian representatives with the leadership of Seyyed Rahmatollah Akrami, vice economic Secretary, was in attendance.
The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) which is held once every two years brings more than 100 members of this organization and representatives of international and regional organizations together.
In this conference, high ranking economic leaders came alongside each other to discuss global development and how to manage debt. They will also have this opportunity to exchange ideas on different economic issues with specialists.
At this two-day meeting it is expected that topics such as the debt crisis in developing countries, politics for long term debts and international aid to assist debt management are to be deliberated.
Based on the conference program, Iran’s Vice Secretary who landed in Geneva on Sunday is to meet with International agency managers and other participating representatives.
