Tehran, YJC. Iran’s coach says his team will make wonder in today’s match against Nigeria.

Iran’s national football coach Carlos Quieroz speaking in a news conference said "We have come to the World Cup to prove that we are qualified to be there. We have taken a lot of pain for that, but we will have not one, but rather many surprises along the games. I hope that we can play so that we will return to Iran with pride.”

He added "When we qualified for the World Cup we knew that playing there would be at a different level of soccer. So we had to boost the team which was not easy to do. We did what we have to do and we are ready to face the world’s top teams. We want to show that Iran is qualified to play in the World Cup.”

Providing comments on his match with Nigeria on Monday he said "Nigeria is full of stars. It has players that play in Europe. Keshi is also a seasoned coach and has been successful since 1994 when Nigeria played in the World Cup.”

"No one would claim that we will always win or will always lose. There is a chance for us here to fight and we will take the chance to demonstrate our soccer’s power. For us the match against Nigeria is more important than all the rest. For now we are thinking about this team. We will think of Argentina afterwards,” the coach asserted.
