Ukraine can settle the conflict inside the country without any foreign mediators, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Saturday after the swearing-in ceremony of Ukrainian
President Pyotr Poroshenko.
"The Ukrainians are hardworking and intelligent," he said. "I am sure they will find the answers to all their problems and will do it themselves if no help comes."
Lukashenko underscored that he did not think the troubles in Ukraine were catastrophic and expressed the confidence that "Poroshenko will keep his word to stabilise the situation in the country and to preserve it united."
