Sabah praises Supreme Leader as guide for entire region

Tehran, YJC. The Emir of Kuwait met Iran’s Supreme Leader in Tehran.

Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met ayatollah Khamenei Iran’s Supreme Leader on Monday morning.

Praising the Supreme Leader as a guide for the entire region, Sabah said "Kuwait is fully ready to open a new chapter in the two countries’ relations. There were agreements made in Tehran to improve the volume of economic and trade relations as well.”

Speaking in agreement to the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on regional integrity in fighting extremism, the Kuwaiti Emir maintained that his country and Iraq are in good relations and that Iraq’s leaders are friends with their Kuwaiti counterparts.

He also expressed hope that in Syria concerns will be resolved according to the will of the nation and through peaceful approaches.

Ayatollah Khamenei in turn stated "Some regional countries do not understand what danger Takrifi groups will be to them in the future, still rendering support to these groups. But they will be forced to demolish them with great cost.”

He further pointed out "Unhealthy relations between regional countries have grown the Zionist regime in obscenity.”

Pointing to the upcoming elections in Syria he asserted that whatever the people of Syria choose will be respected by the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
