Tehran, YJC. Boroujerdi says a joint parliamentary delegation from Iran and six other countries are going to visit Syria.
Head of Iran’s Majlis Committee for National Security and
Foreign Policy said that six parliamentarian teams from pro-Syrian states have
signed up to visit Syria as headed by Iran.
Alaeddin Boroujerdi who was speaking in interview with the Islamic
Consultative Assembly News Agency said "Following the invitation we made of the
countries taking part in this morning’s conference, 6 parliamentarian groups have stated ready to
visit Syria.”
He added "The six countries of Uganda, Zimbabwe, the Philippines,
the Bolivian Parliament Speaker, the Venezuelan Parliament’s Head of Defense
Committee, the Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of Tajikistan
will be sent to Syria to oversee the country’s elections.”
The Islamic Consultative Assembly News Agency also quotes
Hossein Sobhani Nia that on Tuesday a delegation from Iran’s Majlis consisting
of Hassan Khojasteh, Shariati, Alireza Khosravi, Khanlari, Mohammad Ashouri,
Laleh Eftekhari, and Junatan Etkolia, headed by Alaeddin Boroujerdi will leave
for Syria.”
The delegation is to return to Iran on Wednesday after the Syrian
election is over, the report adds.
