Tehran, YJC. Iran is having German scientists bring the dry Zayanderud River back to life.
Director of Sustainable Development, Climate Change and
Energy department of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research said
that the revival of the Zayanderud has been laid on Germany.
Johannes Krauss stated "The German Federal Ministry of Education
and Research has many projects throughout the world, but to revive the
Zayanderud is very important for German scientists.”
"One of the reasons why German researchers consider a way to
revive the Zayanderud was the concern around it by people from diverse strata. This
made the Germans pursue the project very attentively,” he said.
Krauss added that German researchers are conducting a series
of experiments on sewage treatment in Iran, adding "We hope that these
experiments help us improve Iran’s sewage treatment.”
He pointed out "The treatment carried out in the facilities
to the north of Isfahan sounds quite promising, thanks to the experiments
carried out in the facilities and the reconstruction of the facilities’ first
phase which has contributed to the development of the facilities.”
