TEHRAN, Aug 03 - A photo has been circulating in social media as the first copy of the Holy Quran printed in Mecca.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to al-Shabaka al-Arabya news website, the official website of King Abdul Aziz Cultural Institute has published the photo.
It has been printed in the holy city in the lunar Hijri year of 1369 (1949).
The Holy Mecca Printing House printed the copy, which was calligraphed by a calligrapher named Muhammad Tahir al-Kurdi.
