TEHRAN, Aug 02 - Japan Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kenji Yamada said his country is willing to expand mutual cooperation with Iran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araqchi, Kenji stressed bilateral friendly ties between Iran and Japan, saying, “Despite limitations, Tokyo is interested in expanding bilateral ties with Iran in health, environment and natural disaster management.”
Araqchi, for his part, called the recent visit by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Iran positive and appreciated Japanese government’s goodwill to boost bilateral Tehran-Tokyo ties and reduce regional tension.
He outlined Iran’s position towards the nuclear deal and called for taking practical steps by the nuclear deal signatories to save the agreement.
