TEHRAN, Jul 29 - Iran rejected reports that Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah’s visit to Iran has sought mediation purposes.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi said Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah’s visit did not aim at mediation between Iran and Britain.
Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah’s travel to Iran came in line with mutual consultation between the two sides.
He met with Iranian officials including President Hassan Rouhani, Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
The Iranian and Omani officials discussed bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments.
