Iran gives 'specific' information over seized British tanker to IMO

TEHRAN, Jul 26- Iranian Ambassador to UK Hamid Baidi-Nejad said Tehran has submitted specific information to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) over the seized British oil tanker.

Iran gives information about British seized tanker to IMOTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - On July 21, Iran captures a British oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz for violating international regulations as the 30,000-ton UK-flagged Stena Impero tanker collided with a fishing boat on its route prompting an investigation.

“Today, specific information about the British oil tanker of Stena Impero was presented to the IMO in a note,” he wrote in his page.

He said the tanker entered the Strait of Hormuz and shut off the communication service and endangered maritime regulations in the region.
