TEHRAN, Jul 8 - British Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt has falsely accused Iran of “breaching” the nuclear deal, further voicing hope that London could still “make this deal work” in the wake of US withdrawal.

UK FM falsely accuses Iran of ‘breaching’ nuclear deal, voicing hope it could still workTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - "Well we continue to think, alongside the French and the Germans, that the most important priority is for Iran to remain nuclear-free. We think it'll be far more dangerous for the Middle East if Iran acquired nuclear weapons. We'd still like to find a way to make this deal work,” claimed Hunt in London Sunday.

“We're very concerned about the news that has come out today and we will wait for independent verification by the relevant international body before deciding what next steps. But obviously if Iran is breaching this deal there will be very serious consequences."

Iran is reducing its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) over the US withdrawal, and ensuing economic terrorism against Tehran.

US leaders have also come out with new treats and warnings against Iran, including a call by President Donald Trump on Tehran to “be careful.”

He made the comments while speaking to reporters as he departed Morristown, New Jersey, for Washington, DC, on Sunday.

"Iran better be careful, because you enrich for one reason, and I won't tell you what that reason is. But it's no good. They better be careful," he claimed.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo echoed his boss’s comments by making a similar statement on Twitter.

“Iran’s latest expansion of its nuclear program will lead to further isolation and sanctions. Nations should restore the longstanding standard of no enrichment for Iran’s nuclear program. Iran’s regime, armed with nuclear weapons, would pose an even greater danger to the world,” claimed the American war hawk.

Iran, which had been fully complying with all of its commitments despite the US pullout and the European shortfalls, then issued a deadline for its partners to step up their efforts or see Tehran gradually scale back its implementation of the deal under the agreement’s own provisions.
