TEHRAN, Jul 7 -Argentina have clinched the 3rd place at the 2019 Copa America after defeating Chile 2-1 in hot-tempered clash.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC)-Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero put Argentina 1-nil ahead with a clam finish after 12 minutes.
Ten minutes later, Argentina doubled the lead when Juventus striker Paulo Dybala lifted the ball over the Chile keeper.
Tension had been building after many physical encounters in the 1st half and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi was shown a red card following a clash with Gary Medel, which also saw the Chilean also dismissed.
Chile scored a consolation as Arturo Vidal scored from the spot after the break, but Argentina held-off the fight-back to secure 3rd place.
