TEHRAN, Jun 30 -Team Iran has completed its great performance at the 2019 Volleyball Nations League, after defeating hosts Bulgaria in straight sets.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -Iran, who had previously sealed its spot in the final stage of the tournament, came to the match with its back-up players, and finished the opener 25-23.
The Asian powerhouse kept the momentum and displayed some great monster blocks to take the set again at 25-23, before finishing off the Bulgarians with a 25-21 win in the third.
With the victory, Iran is still in second place in the overall standings, and will line up against the final stage hosts Team USA on Sunday, while Bulgaria takes on Serbia.
