TEHRAN, Jun 16 - The presidents of Iran and Tajikistan expressed their determination to enhance relations between the two nations in various fields, with both calling for plans to facilitate the activities of private sector and companies.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In a Saturday meeting with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the sidelines of the 5th summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Dushanbe, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said, “I am confident that Tehran-Dushanbe relations will further deepen under the two government’s will.”
He also appreciated Tajikistan for hosting the CICA Summit, and expressed Iranian companies’ readiness for more active presence in Tajikistan to offer technical and engineering services and share experiences in launching construction and development projects, according to the president’s official website.
For his part, the Tajik leader expressed his determination to develop relations and cooperation with Iran in all fields of mutual interest, and welcomed the idea of stronger cooperation between the private sectors of the two sides.
Rahmon also thanked the Iranian president for attending the CICA summit in Tajikistan, adding, “The government of Tajikistan is determined to develop relations with Iran.”
Heading a ranking delegation, Rouhani arrived in Dushanbe on Friday night after a trip to Kyrgyzstan where he took part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
