Tehran, YJC. Free Zones chief has urged Bushehr officials to complete a plan on the to-be Bushehr free trade zone.

Supreme Presidential Consultant and Secretary General of the High Council of Iran’s Free Zones said "Qataris are much willing and insisting to launch a joint free trade zone with Bushehr.”

Akbar Turkan who was speaking at a meeting in Bushehr on Monday evening said "The Governor General and other officials of Bushehr have to complete studies on the province’s free trade zone and to present the general points to the government. We hope that through favorable offices by the First Vice President, the government also agrees to the plan.”

He added "Thousands of hectares of prepared land exist in the South Pars area with all sorts of infrastructure, but there is little favor by Bushehr’s entrepreneurs for investment in the development of the area.”

"The country’s least expensive industrial land located by ports with wharfs and infrastructure is in the hands of the people of Bushehr and it needs to be worked on,” Turkan urged entrepreneurs.
