Tehran, YJC. Marine Commander says the unit is launching operations to build a destroyer that serves training and live military actions.

Admiral Habibollah Sayyari who was welcoming back the Navy’s 29th
fleet to Bandar Abbas on Monday said "The 29th fleet returns home
after 100 days of mission in free waters and the Gulf of Aden. Prior to this
the 30th fleet was dispatched to the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean
with the aim to defend Iran’s interests in international waters.”
"The
Army’s 29th fleet escorted and guided 152 cargo ships and tankers
along its mission course,” the Navy Commander stated.
He further
said that in the near future a number of surface and underwater watercraft will
join the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Navy.
Sayyari
added "The operations to build the training destroyer Khalij Fars have started.
The destroyer will enhance the Navy’s power, because it can both act within
training programs and carry the duties of a destroyer.”
"Class
Fateh submarines will be unveiled this year,” he also stated, adding "the class
Jamaran destroyers in types 2 to 7 are also under production.”
