Tehran, YJC. High school student has introduced a diet for chickens that makes them lay eggs full of omega-3 fatty acid and magnesium.
Razieh
Esmaili is a 3rd-year high school student of natural sciences from
Rezvanshahr, North Khorasan. She has introduced a diet for chickens with which
they will lay eggs with special characteristics.
Explaining
her experiment, Razieh said "We defined a diet for chickens where each day we
would give them 50 grams of this supplement which includes soybeans, stale
bread, rice, and some species of a local plant. After 10 days the chicken laid
a double-yolk egg bigger than common eggs. The egg is packed with omega 3 and
magnesium.”
Providing
comments on the nutritional features of the egg she said "One who takes it their
blood pressure and hyperlipidemia will decrease. Also, due to high levels of
magnesium, if a pregnant lady uses the eggs in their first three months of
labor, it will prevent the formation of brown pigment in the [baby’s] eye and
the eye will turn into a light blue.”
Pointing
out that she received the idea from an Indian physician, Razieh said "The
discovery has not yet been registered anywhere. One of our relatives has
already been experimented on with positive result. We are doing experiments on
a laboratory rat.”
Esmaili’s
colleague Fatemeh Akhlaghi added "My grandfather is an experimental physician
who had studied in India for some years. The idea comes from there. A woman
with baby who didn’t have any genetics for blue eyes changed her child’s eye
color by having these eggs.”
"An American scientist has also made some
research into why the eyes of babies from women in Europe and the Mediterranean
are blue. The answer is the high amounts of magnesium in the sea water and the
fruit they use. It will lie on a chromosome which is responsible for marking
the eye color,” she further said.
