TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -According to a Guardian report on Wednesday, the Trump administration paid $233,748 per vehicle – a total of $935,033 – to the family-owned JP Ward & Sons.
That would amount to $116,879 per mile of traveling inside Ireland after the three-day UK visit, which has itself drawn criticism due to the millions spent by the US president there.
The expenses involved more than $1.2 million spent for rooms at the InterContinental Hotel Park Lane. An additional $150,000 was used to pay for hotel rooms at the InterContinental, while another $339,386 was spent on rooms at the Hilton on Park Lane.
Trump also spent another $18,750 on “hotel rooms in support of a VIP visit” and more than $47,000 for a generator.
At the conclusion of a state visit to Britain, Trump was scheduled to fly to County Clare on Wednesday evening to meet with Irish taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, and then fly by helicopter to his golf resort in Doonbeg.
