Tehran, YJC. Austian Foreign Minister has traveled to Tehran to meet his counterpart and other officials.
On Saturday
evening the Foreign Minister of Austria Sebastian Kurz arrived in Tehran leading
a high-ranking delegation.
He is
to visit Iranian officials, including his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif,
on Sunday and Monday.
The
trip is also to be a precursor for a visit by the Austrian President Heinz
Fischer who will be paying his visit following an invitation by Hassan Rouhani,
Iran’s President.
Kurz
is the second European minister to visit Iran in the new Iranian year.
The
first European minister to visit Iran in its current year was the Latvian Foreign
Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs.
The
next European minister to visit Iran is going to be the Minister of Foreign
Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn who will pay his visit around the first
third of June.
