Tehran, YJC. Rouhani has given a public speech on the day of his arrival in Zahedan.
President Rouhani who
made a trip to Sistan and Baluchestan on Tuesday morning, met the public upon
arrival.
"All ethnic groups,
tribes and sects including Shias and Sunnis should work hand in hand for the
security of Sistan and Baluchestan,” said the president speaking to the people.
He asserted "The
government of prudence and hope considers bringing change to Sistan and Baluchestan."
Rouhani added "The
people of this province are the people who have protected the borders of our
country throughout history.”
The face of Sistan and Baluchestan
will change by the end of the 11th, he further said.
The president added "We
do not have second-class citizens in this country, meritocracy rules this
country."
"I'm pleased that
in Sistan and Baluchestan, we have both Shia and Sunni governors,” he pointed
out.
Mr. Rouhani also stated
that his government does not discriminate between religious sects, ethnicities
and sexes.
Sistan and Baluchestan has always been a land of
brotherhood, unity, coexistence and kindness all throughout history.
Pointing to Iran's nuclear case he said "In these negotiations we will prove to the world that what has been previously said about Iran has been lies. Iran has not been, nor will be seeking nuclear weapons; but it will pursue the development of the technology with the help of God."
