TEHRAN, May 05 - The Mashhad-Sarakhs tourist train has embarked on its maiden journey, travelling through wonderful scenic and historic places of Khorasan Razavi province.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The train with the capacity of 200 passengers will stop at the 'Marzdaran', 'Bezangan lake' and 'Kaniv bridge' stations, and its passengers will be familiar with the beautiful nature of the region as well as the customs and crafts of the city of Sarakhs.
Sarakhs is a city in Razavi Khorasan province with the population of around 604 thousand people. The city is located about 185 Kilometers from Mashhad, the center of the Khorasan Razavi province.
Tourist Attractions of the city are 'Robat Sharaf', 'Khatoon Bridge', 'Mazdarvand Cave' and crafts such as 'Kilim weaving' and 'hand woven rugs'.
