TEHRAN, May 05 - Iran and Kyrgyzstan called for use of all bilateral capacities and regional mechanisms, including the Eurasian Economic Union to increase trade between the two countries.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The fourth round of political talks between Iran and Kyrgyzstan was held on Saturday in Tehran with Deputy Foreign Ministers of the two countriesSeyyed Abbas Araghchi and Nuran Niyaz Aliyev in attendance.
A wide range of issues and cooperation at both regional and international levels were discussed and the two sides agreed on launch a high-level meeting between the two countries later on this year.
The twelfth meeting of the Joint Economic Commission and the eighth consular meeting between Iran and Kyrgyzstan were emphasized in the framework of this agreement.
Deputy Foreign Ministers Araghchi and Aliyev also stressed on implementation of agreements and documents signed during the meetings of the two presidents in 2015 and 2016, calling for the exploitation of all bilateral capacities and regional mechanisms, including the Eurasian Economic Union aiming to increase trade between the two countries.
Deputy Foreign Ministers of Iran and Kyrgyzstan also consider developing transport cooperation, facilitating the issuance of driver visas as well as establishing direct flights between Iran and Kyrgyzstan as priority issues and called for removing barriers and accelerating cooperation in these areas.
Earlier on the same day, Nuran Niyaz Aliyev met with the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif saying that his country is seeking to strengthen and expand bilateral and international cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The top Iranian diplomat in his turn attached great importance to peace, stability and democracy in the region, adding: "Political talks between deputy foreign ministers of Iran and Kyrgyzstan were positive and have a good effect on the expansion of bilateral relations in different areas."
