TEHRAN, Apr 26 - Hundreds of students clashed with police in Santiago on Thursday during renewed protests to demand sweeping education reforms.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The march, which had started peacefully with thousands of students carrying signs and banners demanding reforms, turned into a cat-and-mouse game between anti-riot police and protesters.
Police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse the large crowds of students who responded by throwing rocks and other objects at police.
The march was the first in 2019 and included high school and university students demanding an end to student debt.
