TEHRAN, YJC. The Austrian president is to visit Iran soon.
"The invitation from the Iranian side has been
accepted in principle, but no date has been set," Reuters quoted Fischer's spokesman as
saying on Wednesday.
Austrian President Heinz Fischer will be visiting Iran following recent meetings between high-ranking officials from the two countries.
On March 19, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Austrian opposite number Sebastian Kurz discussed the latest developments pertaining to bilateral relations between the two countries.
Also Last September, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Austrian counterpart held talks on the sidelines of the 68th annual session of the UN General Assembly in New York, stressing the significance of comprehensive relations between Tehran and Vienna.
