Tehran, YJC. Nobakht has stated that in less than one year, the Rouhani administration has cut down inflation for about 11 percent.

Mohammad Baqer Nobakht who was speaking on the occasion of the Islamic Republic day (April 2) in Mecca said "The day I arrived in Mecca the head of the Statistics Center called me and said that fortunately the 43-percent inflation of August-September 2013 has reduced to 32.1.

The president's Vice Chancellor in Planning and Strategic Supervision said "While as an oil power the Islamic Republic is able to produce 4 million barrels a day, sanctions made us have to sell only one million."

Also pointing to the country's nuclear program he said "In the first round we managed to break down part of the sanctions, but there remains a lot to go until the end of the negotiations."

"The nuclear issue is only an excuse for the superpowers. They have introduced Islam as the religion by which they fasten bombs to themselves and blow it up among crowds, that it wants to get at the nuclear energy in order to make nuclear bombs," Nobakht asserted.

The government Spokesman added "We have told the world that the Islamic Republic is not seeking nuclear bombs. We want to use nuclear achievements only for technological advancement."
