TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In an interview with Press TV on Monday, Alexander Azadgan, a political analyst, further rejected fresh US allegations about Iran’s financial agreements with crisis-hit Venezuela.
The analyst highlighted Washington’s claim about the Iranian airline Mahan Air’s launch of a direct flight from Tehran to Caracas as well as Russia’s dispatch of humanitarian aid to the South American country.
“Why can’t Iran, China and Russia take interest in the country whose economy is just basically going down the tube with no hope inside,” he said, adding, “As a matter of fact what the US wants to do is to create more anarchy and chaos.”
He called for the reconvening of a UN Security Council meeting in front of the “real global community” to address Washington’s policies.
“Enough is enough. I think Washington has been getting away with too much for too long. We need to revive what is left of the international law and enforce it without constant economic terrorism,” he added.
