Tehran, YJC. Foreign Minister says the US has to make a tough decision, namely face the reality.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who was speaking in a press review with his Greek counterpart on Saturday pointed to the US Secretary of State’s recent statements and said "The US government speaks for its own domestic problems. Their talk is based on their prejudgments and preconceptions. For years they have been inculcating the point that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons. Now I have to says that the US must take a difficult decision to believe that Iran is not seeking nuclear weapons.”

Zarif stated "I believe that it would be much better and more constructive if US statesmen avoided saying things that they would later had to change. For example the enrichment issue in the Geneva agreement which they denied, but then were forced to stated that the agreement includes enrichment. They’d better not say something which they would have to deny later on.”

The Foreign Minister further said "If the difficult decision is that Iran does not consider nuclear weapons, well, that is a decision already made. Iran has never does nor will ever seek nuclear weapons. Neither through religious tenets nor considerations or strategic outlook we do not seek nuclear arms. I believe that the US has to make a hard decision, which is to see things for ever with a realist eye and to abandon daydreaming.”
