TEHRAN, Mar 25 - Two survivors of a deadly school shooting in the US state of Florida have killed themselves.

Two US school shooting survivors have committed suicideTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - One unidentified student, a sophomore at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, reportedly committed suicide late on Saturday.

The incident followed another instance of suicide by another survivor, who took her own life last weekend.

Sydney Aiello’s death in the wake of her post-traumatic stress disorder, kicked of a campaign aiming to raise $20,000 to support the families of the victims.

The GoFundMe campaign raised more than $70,000 as of Sunday not long after the 19 year old took her life.

The two had managed to survive a shooting attack that left 17 people dead.

“The issue of suicide needs to be talked about,” said Ryan Petty, the father of a 14-year-old girl who was killed.

Nikolas Cruz, an ex-student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in launched the February 2018 shooting with an AR-15-style assault rifle,

Cruz, 19, surrendered to police after the massacre. It was the second-deadliest shooting at a public school in US history. The shooting was the 18th in a US school in 2018, according to gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety.

The shooter had previously been expelled for unspecified disciplinary reasons.

Following the tragedy, the FBI admitted it had received a tip-off about the gunman yet failed to stop him.
