Tehran, YJC. Iranian nuclear official says attempted sabotage to Arak nuclear facilities has been successfully stopped.

Atomic Energy Organization Deputy Director of Nuclear Security and Protection Asqar
Zarean said "In cooperation with the Intelligence Ministry and other security organizations,
a number of sabotage attempts were intercepted in the past few months, one of
which was intended to bring wreckage to part of the IR40 site of Khondab, Arak.”
Zarean
also stated that special laboratories to fight industrial sabotage attempts are
being launched in the IAEO and said "The laboratories to fight industrial
sabotage are fully operational which makes a turning point in the IAEO’s
programs.”
He further
added that the laboratories identify, prevent, and cope with sabotage attempts
in various industrial sections, adding that the protection system is especially
designed for nuclear facilities.
"The
enemy follows its purposes by investing in industrial sabotage plans. Sabotage directed
at vital and infrastructural resources is a program followed by the domineering
powers who implement such attempts through various sophisticated methods,” Iran Atomic Energy Organization Deputy
Director of Nuclear Security and Protection stated.
