TEHRAN, Mar 24 - The head of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has ordered the armed forces to fully support the flood victims.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Following the command of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the commander-in-chief of the armed forces Ayatollah Seyyed Ali khamenei to the head of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, he ordered the commanders of the IRGC, the army, the Police and the Ministry of Defense, in addition to the humanitarian, logistical and health assistance they have provided, to continue to provide comprehensive and coherent support to the flood-stricken areas victims in order to give peace of mind to the compatriots.
In this regard, Maj. Gen. Bagheri sent the deputy head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces at the head of a delegation of senior commanders to the scene to establish the necessary coordination between the forces in flood areas, Iran Press reported.
Golestan and Mazandaran provinces north of the country have been affected by heavy rains for the past few days. Flood forced people in many areas to flee and Aqqala and Gomishan cities in Golestan province were evacuated in order to prevent human losses.
