TEHRAN, Mar 11 - At least 50 civilians, children and women included, were martyred in a new massacre committed by the US-led International coalition in al-Baghouz camp in eastern Deir Ezzor, local sources said.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Last Thursday, warplanes of the US-led coalition shelled gatherings of civilians with white phosphorous in the surroundings of al-Baghouz village near the Syrian-Iraqi borders, claiming the lives of a number of citizens, mostly women and children.
The US and its allies have been bombarding what they call Daesh positions inside Syria since September 2014 without any authorization from the Damascus government or a UN mandate.
The strikes, however, have on many occasions resulted in civilian casualties and failed to fulfill their declared aim of countering terrorism.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry has on several occasions written to the UN, complaining that the US was flagrantly violating the sovereignty of Syria by targeting residential neighborhoods.
